Calderdale & Kirklees 999 Call for the NHS supports the Junior Doctors’ strike for a fair, safe contract.
In his race to defund, run down and sell off the NHS, Hunt is trying to impose an unsafe, unfair contract on the Junior Doctors.
The doctors’ trade union, the BMA, have been in negotiations with the government since calling off their strike at the start of December. However these negotiations have broken down and the BMA are encouraging everyone to come and support the junior doctors’ strike pickets outside hospitals all over the country.
So please come and picket Calderdale Royal Hospital main entrance on Tuesday 12 January, from 8am to 12.30pm. Leeds junior doctors are asking members of the public who may want to support their pickets to wear blue and avoid party political banners or placards, as their strike is not about party politics.
Here is a video from junior doctors explaining their work and why Hunt’s contract would make it unsafe.
