There is a Public Meeting on why we urgently need the NHS Reinstatement Bill at 7.30pm on Tuesday 2nd Feb, at Nutclough Studio, Keighley Road, Hebden Bridge
All are welcome to attend the meeting, which Calderdale Green Party is hosting.
The NHS Reinstatement Bill is a cross-party private members’ bill that is due for its second reading in the House of Commons on Friday 11 March 2016.
It is urgently needed in order to stop and reverse the tsunami of NHS cuts and sell offs that are on track to demolish the NHS by the end of this Parliament.
Its call for a restoration of the NHS as a fully publicly owned, publicly funded and publicly run health service has the implicit support of 88% of the adult population in the country, as shown by a 2013 YouGov survey of public attitudes to nationalised public services
