Our GP practices are being starved of funding and subjected to government pressure to operate like health supermarkets. Private companies are moving in like vultures.
A coalition of NHS campaign groups including 999 Call for the NHS, KONP, We Own It, Calderdale and Kirklees 999 Call for the NHS and We Own It have organised this public meeting as part of our resistance to the corporate takeover of GP practices and related moves to end traditional family doctor practices, that have been the bedrock of the NHS since it started in 1948.
