Detailed info for hospital cuts consultation survey

WE HAVE NEARLY FINISHED WORKING THROUGH THE CLINICAL COMMISSIONING GROUPS’ ANSWERS TO OUR REQUEST TO FIX WHAT’S WRONG WITH THE “HAVE YOUR SAY” CONSULTATION DOCUMENT.

We asked for a pause in the consultation to give time for this but the CCGs refused.

We also asked the public/patient lay reps on the Clinical Commissioning Groups’ Governing Bodies to meet us to discuss the need for a pause/extension to the consultation period, so that we and the general public would have time to absorb and think through the CCGs’ lengthy but inadequate replies to our questions. We are sorry to say they have refused.

THE CCGs’ ANSWERS MOSTLY DENY THE VALIDITY OF OUR QUESTIONS AND THERE IS VERY LITTLE NEW INFORMATION.

On June 7th at the latest, this web page will be updated with detailed info about:

  • each aspect of the hospital cuts consultation survey, in the light of the CCGs’ inadequate answers to our questions
  • the survey’s omissions of important elements of the proposed hospital cuts and the replacement of hospital services with care in the community – there are many vital things the CCGs aren’t even bothering to ask us about!

Please come back and check! In the meantime, brief advice on filling in the deeply flawed consultation survey is here.
